Lawyers For Trump Demand Congressional Intervention In Classified Document Case

Donald Trump’s legal team has requested that the House Intelligence Committee intervene in the DOJ probe into the former President’s retention of classified documents. Trump’s attorneys believe that the DOJ is not the appropriate agency to conduct investigations about the mishandling or spillage of classified material. His attorneys stated that belief in a letter to Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) on April 26.

House Is Expected To Vote On The $4.5 Trillion Limit, Save, Grow Act.

The Act, announced last week by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), is the GOP’s first attempt to bring Democrats and the Biden administration to the table after little movement in the previous three months. It would raise the debt ceiling by $1.5 trillion, or until March 31, 2020, whichever comes first.
