LANCASTER, CA – In a chilling development, authorities have named Jose Seymour Cabrera as a person of interest in the death of his wife, Shiloh Cabrera, after her body was found in Angeles National Forest. New surveillance footage has surfaced showing him at a Lancaster Boulevard apartment complex.
Shiloh, last seen on August 9, was reported missing on August 12. Investigators discovered Jose Cabrera had left for Peru with their three sons before deputies could interview him.
A tip on August 16 led to the discovery of Shiloh’s body, though the cause of death is still unknown. Peruvian authorities found Jose and the children, placing the boys in protective custody.
Family friends claim Shiloh endured domestic abuse for years, planning to leave her husband, which they suspect led to her murder. Days before her disappearance, she expressed concerns over her husband’s demands for personal documents.
The Sheriff’s Department expects charges to be filed soon, starting the extradition process to return Jose Cabrera to the U.S. A vigil is set to take place at Lancaster City Hall in Shiloh’s honor.
As the community mourns, the investigation proceeds, aiming to provide clarity and justice for Shiloh. Authorities continue to piece together the events that led to this tragic situation.
