EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Authorities are investigating a “suspicious” death after a woman was found unresponsive in East Bridgewater on Sunday. The East Bridgewater Police Department received a call just before 9:30 a.m. about the woman, who was deceased in the yard of a home at Belmont and Elm streets.
The woman’s identity as well as a cause of death has not yet been released, but the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said that the death “does not appear to be a random act.” Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is working to identify the cause of death.
Speaking to a local news station, a neighbor expressed concern for her family’s safety, stating, “This never happens in East Bridgewater. Just two houses down from me—it’s disturbing.”
