Raymond Boodarian was taken into custody following the deaths of Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca. Investigators revealed that the couple encountered Boodarian when they came home last Thursday. A confrontation ensued, leading to multiple gunshot wounds inflicted on both victims.
According to Lieutenant Guy Golan of the Los Angeles Police Department, surveillance footage from the couple’s home captured Boodarian entering through an unlocked sliding door after jumping a fence. This evidence, along with reports from neighbors who spotted a man jumping fences, helped police track him down. Officers initially responded to those reports but left after finding nothing suspicious.
Detectives recovered a firearm from Boodarian’s residence, which is believed to be the weapon used in the killings, although forensic confirmation is pending.
