ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Authorities are investigating a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of three people found inside a residence in northeast Albuquerque. A fourth individual, believed to have taken his own life, was discovered at a separate location, prompting authorities to explore possible links between the two scenes.

The investigation began early Saturday morning when firefighters responded to a residential fire on the 2800 block of Georgia Street Northeast shortly after 6 a.m. As crews worked to subdue the blaze, they uncovered three individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds within the home. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Albuquerque police spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos, following the initial discovery, officers received a report of a suicide near the intersection of Jefferson Street Northeast and Masthead Street Northeast. The identities of the victims at the Georgia Street site include a husband and wife in their 70s and their son, who was in his 40s. The suicide victim was reported to be in his 30s.
