Newly-Wed Man Fatally Shot in Robbery at Seaview, Karachi

Karachi, Pakistan – A newly-married man was tragically shot and killed in front of his wife during a robbery at Seaview in Karachi, Pakistan. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Muhammad Adnan, was fatally shot in the head by armed muggers while enjoying a meal with his wife at a restaurant near Dau Darya. The incident took place at Sahil Avenue Crossing, Khayaban-e-Babar, DHA Phase-8. Adnan, who shuttled between Balochistan and Karachi for business, had been married for only three months.

Sahil police revealed that the couple was targeted by two robbers on a motorcycle. When Adnan resisted the robbery, one of the assailants shot him twice in the head before fleeing with their mobile phones, cash, and other valuables. The victim’s body was taken to a local hospital, but his relatives, visibly enraged, chose not to have an autopsy conducted and instead checked the body themselves.

In a separate incident, wedding photographers were also robbed by motorcycle-riding armed muggers near KDA Chowrangi in North Nazimabad. The muggers intercepted the photographers and snatched a camera, a drone camera, a valuable mobile phone, camera lenses, and cash. The victims reported that they were also subjected to physical assault during the robbery.

Photographers in the area have reported that such robberies have been occurring almost daily for several months, regardless of whether photographers are on motorcycles or in cars. They stated that expensive equipment and mobile phones necessary for their work make them easy targets for these criminals.

These incidents highlight the urgent need for increased security measures and law enforcement presence in these areas to ensure the safety of residents and business owners. The frequency of these robberies is causing fear and concern among the local community, prompting calls for action to address the issue. Such crimes not only have immediate physical and financial impacts on the victims but also create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity in the surrounding areas.
