SPRINGFIELD, TN – On July 4, a human leg found in a creek has been positively identified as belonging to 68-year-old Joseph Frank Sr. Frank was known to authorities, being on the county’s most wanted list for weapons charges related to a local property.
This property is also the focal point of a longstanding investigation into the disappearance of Jennifer Wicks and her daughter Adriana in 2004. Wicks had been dating Frank’s son, Joey Jr., when she and her daughter disappeared, leaving a mystery unsolved for years.
Casey Robinson, Jennifer’s sister, expressed the emotional strain of the ongoing investigation. “We’ve been advocating for their story, hoping for answers,” she said. The family believes that the Franks could hold key information.
Following the discovery of Frank Sr.’s remains, law enforcement agencies have ramped up their investigation. Springfield police reported no additional remains were found, and there’s no current evidence of foul play.
Robinson remains hopeful. “We’re praying for answers for my sister and niece,” she said, highlighting the family’s relentless quest for closure.
Frank Sr. was wanted for probation violations, and his last known location was connected to the property involved in the investigation. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances of his death.
While no new arrests have been made in the Wicks case, the discovery has brought renewed focus and hope for a resolution in the community.
Investigators are appealing to the public for any information that might shed light on these cases, as the search for truth continues.
