Daylight Mayhem: Rival Motorcycle Gangs Indicted After Violent Brawl Leaves Multiple Victims in Critical Condition

LINDENHURST, N.Y. — Authorities have indicted five men linked to rival motorcycle gangs after a violent brawl left several individuals critically injured outside a local gas station. The incident, described as a shocking display of gang-related violence, erupted in broad daylight on September 14, 2025, and involved an array of weapons, including knives, hammers, and baseball bats.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced that a grand jury has formally charged the suspects, identified as Roger Clarke, 53; Christopher Clarke, 21; Joseph Bivona, 46; Michael Baffa, 57; and Robert Miller, 54. The individuals are linked to the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, the Demons of Hell Motorcycle Club, and the Hells Angels, underscoring a volatile rivalry between these groups.

According to prosecutors, the chaos began earlier that afternoon at a memorial service for a Pagan’s member at a West Islip bar. Members of the Demons of Hell Motorcycle Club and a Hells Angels member reportedly disrupted the event, which led to a regrouping at the Phillips 66 gas station in Lindenhurst. What unfolded next was a large-scale fight that shocked onlookers and left multiple victims with severe injuries.

The District Attorney detailed how Roger and Christopher Clarke, affiliated with the Demons of Hell, allegedly attacked a Pagan’s member with a hammer and a knife, resulting in serious stab wounds that required emergency surgery. Another victim suffered life-threatening injuries as he attempted to escape the increasing violence. Prosecutors indicated that Roger Clarke further stabbed another Pagan’s member during the chaos, causing grave internal injuries.

In a separate account of the melee, Bivona, Baffa, and Miller, all associated with the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, were accused of targeting a 76-year-old Hells Angels member. The elderly victim was severely beaten, sustaining a brain bleed that necessitated multiple surgeries and continuous medical care.

The arraignment for the defendants took place in Suffolk County Supreme Court. Bail for Roger Clarke was set at $75,000 cash, while Christopher Clarke’s bail was set at $25,000. Both face charges that could lead to 25 years in prison if convicted of the most serious counts. Bivona, Baffa, and Miller face similar charges and bail conditions, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

Defense attorneys have indicated that all defendants plan to contest the charges, with legal representatives expressing the need to review the evidence thoroughly. A spokesperson from the DA’s office stressed the seriousness of the incident, calling it a dangerous outbreak of violence that risks community safety.

“This conflict escalated rapidly, endangering both the participants and innocent bystanders,” District Attorney Tierney remarked. “The use of weapons in such a public space is something we will not tolerate.” The situation has alarmed local residents, prompting discussions on safety measures and community vigilance in response to such alarming incidents.
