Reports indicate that shortly after the ceasefire was announced, residents in nearby Jammu city witnessed projectiles lighting up the sky. The sounds of artillery and shelling were noted in various locations, including Akhnoor and Udhampur, while air raid sirens rang out in regions of Rajasthan, resulting in widespread alarm.
Local sources described damage to homes in the Sonawar neighborhood of Srinagar, as explosions continued near a military cantonment in the area. Additional reports confirmed that Baramulla and Sopore also experienced similar violent disruptions. As communities braced for further fallout, complete blackouts were imposed across Jaisalmer, parts of Punjab, and other regions.
