Beloved Iowa High School Principal Dies 10 Days After Heroic Act During Shooting Attack

Perry, Iowa – The principal who was injured in a deadly school shooting at Perry High School has tragically passed away after ten days in the hospital. Dan Marburger, a beloved figure in the Perry community, was one of seven individuals injured when a 17-year-old student opened fire on January 4th. The shooting resulted in the tragic death of sixth-grader Ahmir Jolliff, as well as several injuries to students and staff.
