Tragic Murder-Suicide Shock Rocks Lower Moreland Township

LOWER MORELAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Authorities are currently conducting an investigation after a tragic incident unfolded, resulting in the deaths of two individuals in what appears to be a case of murder-suicide.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office revealed that 43-year-old Durdona Sultanova was fatally shot by her ex-husband, 44-year-old Al Allaberg. The harrowing event took place in the 400 block of Carson Terrace in the Huntingdon Valley area of Lower Moreland Township.

Responding to a distress call made by young occupants of the residence, law enforcement arrived at the scene at 4:38 p.m. to discover the bodies of Sultanova and Allaberg in a walk-in closet within the master bedroom. Autopsies conducted by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office determined that Sultanova succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to the chest in what was classified as a homicide, while Allaberg’s cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
