A 24-year-old man was shot six times Thursday night and remained hospitalized in stable condition as police investigated.
NEW YORK — Police were searching Friday for four people after a 24-year-old man was shot multiple times Thursday night in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, according to reports citing police.
The shooting happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. outside 1040 East 219th St. Officers responding to the scene found the wounded man and arranged for him to be taken to a hospital. He was listed in stable condition after suffering six gunshot wounds.
The victim was wounded in several areas of his body, according to police information reported Friday. Authorities did not publicly identify him, and no additional information about his condition was immediately released.
Police said four people were being sought in connection with the shooting. Authorities had not released their names or announced arrests as the investigation continued Friday morning. Police also had not publicly detailed what role each person may have played.
