Body Discovered Near Morgan Hill as Search for Missing Woman Continues

MORGAN HILL, CA – A tragic discovery near Anderson Lake has investigators on edge as they work to identify a body found by the family of 18-year-old Marissa DiNapoli, who disappeared days ago. The heartbreaking find has intensified the search for answers.

Though the Sheriff’s Office has not confirmed the identity, the body was located in a hidden area of Lake Anderson Park, beneath a bridge near the Lacey Anderson Dam.

DiNapoli was last seen in the company of Martin Mendoza, her ex-boyfriend, who is now a person of interest. Police report that Mendoza has been uncooperative.

Concerns about Mendoza’s behavior were voiced by DiNapoli’s friends, who alleged he had made threats against her. “He was obsessed and dangerous,” one friend revealed.

Authorities are searching for Mendoza, believed to be driving a white Toyota Camry. They are seeking public assistance to track him down, sharing potential license plate numbers.

DiNapoli, a recent graduate of Opportunity Youth Academy, was preparing to attend Gavilan College. She was employed at Starbucks, known for her bright personality and was beloved by many.

The news has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends, family, and teachers grappling with the potential loss. “She was a light in our lives,” a teacher said.

A video has surfaced showing DiNapoli and Mendoza together on the last day she was seen. The footage confirms they entered a home together on Sunday.
