Tragic Shooting Leaves Four-Year-Old Dead and Four Others Injured in Northeast Bexar County

San Antonio, Texas – A tragic incident in Northeast Bexar County has left a community in shock after a shooting claimed the life of a four-year-old girl and critically injured four others. The shooting occurred in the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow, near Walzem Road, on Wednesday night.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance footage of the attack, revealing a disturbing scene where someone opened fire on the home with numerous bullets. The aftermath of the incident was described by Sheriff Javier Salazar as the front of the house being heavily riddled with bullets.

Authorities confirmed that three children, ages 4, 6, and 8, were among those who sustained injuries during the targeted attack. Tragically, the four-year-old victim succumbed to her wounds. Sheriff Salazar condemned the act as cowardly and directed his anger towards the unknown assailant.

In the wake of the shooting, neighbors and members of the community expressed their sorrow and sympathy for the victims. One resident, Donnie Soto, a military veteran, lamented the violence in the neighborhood, emphasizing that he had hoped for peace after his service in Afghanistan and Iraq. Other neighbors showed their support by leaving tokens of sympathy, such as stuffed animals, near the home.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident, with detectives revisiting the scene to gather evidence and seek potential witnesses. Sheriff Salazar disclosed that a person had been in contact with one of the adults in the home before the shooting, prompting investigators to consider them a suspect in the case.
