Tragic Shooting in San Antonio Leaves Four-Year-Old Girl Dead, Three Children Critically Wounded

San Antonio, Texas – In a disturbing incident, two gunmen fired into a house in San Antonio, Texas, leaving five people shot, including three young children. Sadly, one of the victims, a four-year-old girl, succumbed to her injuries.

The attack occurred at 7:49 p.m. on Wednesday when suspects armed with semi-automatic rifles exited a vehicle and unleashed gunfire on a residence off Windsor Hollow Drive on San Antonio’s Northeast Side. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar confirmed that when deputies arrived, they found five victims, with three being children under 10 years old, the youngest being just four.

All five victims were swiftly transported to an area hospital, where the youngest victim tragically passed away. The remaining four victims, two adults in their twenties and thirties, were reported to be in critical to grave condition.

Despite the lack of immediate arrests, authorities are actively pursuing leads, including a suspect who allegedly corresponded with one of the victims via text messages prior to the shooting. Sheriff Salazar revealed during a press conference that there were inquiries made about children being present in the house before the attack, suggesting a targeted motive.

The suspects utilized high-capacity weapons, firing approximately 20 to 25 rounds in a matter of seconds, causing extensive damage to the front of the house. Salazar emphasized the severity of the situation, stating, “they Swiss cheesed the front of that house, and it’s a miracle that we’re not dealing with five dead bodies right now.” The investigation continues as authorities work diligently to apprehend those responsible for this horrific act of violence.
