Tragic Car Collision in Martin County Claims Three Lives and Injures Several Others

MARTIN COUNTY, Texas – A tragic multiple-car collision in Martin County on Tuesday, March 26, resulted in three fatalities and three injuries, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The incident involved a Nissan car and a Ford Coachman traveling eastbound on IH-20. The driver of the Nissan swerved into the Ford, causing it to veer into the center median and through a cable barrier, ultimately colliding head-on with a Ford F-250. Sadly, the collision claimed the lives of the driver of the Ford Coachman, Victor Craven Jr. from Waco, as well as two passengers in the Ford F-250.

Following the crash, the driver of the Ford F-250 was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, while another passenger was transported but later pronounced dead. Furthermore, a passenger from the Ford F-250 was also pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bradshaw.

The driver of the Nissan, which rolled over onto its left side after hitting the cable barrier, and the passenger were both treated for minor injuries at Midland Memorial Hospital. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with Texas DPS withholding further details at this time.
