Teen Son Arrested for Grisly Triple Homicide of Family in Horrific Bronx Murder

BRONX, N.Y. – A horrific triple homicide shook the Bronx last week when a son was arrested for allegedly murdering his father’s new family, including his 5-year-old brother. Jayden Rivera, 19, has been accused of brutally killing 38-year-old Jonathan Rivera, 33-year-old Hanoi Peralta, and 5-year-old Kayden Rivera. The grim crime scene was located at 674 East 136th St. where the suspect is known to have served as a babysitter for his half-brother.

The victims were found with multiple stab wounds and evidence suggested that they were also beaten with a pot. Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny described the scene as exceptionally disturbing with the youngest victim, Kayden, being disemboweled. Neighbors reported hearing screams during the early morning hours, adding to the chilling nature of the crime.

Before the arrest, Jayden Rivera’s mother had contacted emergency services, expressing concern about her son’s mental state. Rivera is currently institutionalized for a psychological evaluation where he admitted to “doing something bad” and reportedly mentioning his belief that his family wanted to hurt him.

The charged son is facing multiple charges, including murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. The arrest has left the community reeling, grappling with the devastating loss and struggling to comprehend the tragic events that ended the lives of a man, woman, and child inside their Bronx home.
