Police Chase Concludes with Arrest After Alleged Murder

FORT WORTH, TX – A harrowing police pursuit through Tarrant County ended with the arrest of a man accused of murdering his girlfriend in her apartment. Authorities say Dylan Jones, 30, fatally shot Ariel Levy, 28, before fleeing in her SUV, sparking a dangerous chase.

The ordeal began with a distress call from a South Fort Worth residence, where Jones reportedly confessed to killing Levy. Witnesses noted blood beneath his fingernails, raising alarms. However, Jones had already left by the time officers arrived.

Police soon identified Jones driving the stolen SUV and attempted to apprehend him, igniting a high-speed chase that endangered many lives. The pursuit, reaching speeds of 90 mph, saw Jones disregard traffic laws, running red lights and driving against traffic.

Eyewitness Tracy Jordan captured the chase on video, describing the scene as a swarm of police vehicles in pursuit. The chase concluded near Precinct Line Road when officers used stop sticks to halt the SUV.

After bringing the vehicle to a standstill, officers deployed a Taser to subdue Jones before taking him into custody. They found Levy’s phone and a handgun inside the SUV, along with evidence of blood on Jones’s hands.

Back at the apartment complex on Highway 287, police discovered Levy’s lifeless body in the bedroom, a shell casing nearby matching the weapon found with Jones. The discovery confirmed the tragic end to a young mother’s life, leaving two children without their mother.

Levy’s family shared their grief with the community, releasing a photo of her and expressing that she will be forever missed. The incident underscores the severe consequences of domestic violence and the urgent need for support systems.

As proceedings move forward, the community rallies around Levy’s family, seeking justice and healing in the wake of such a heartbreaking loss.
