Plantation, Florida – A tragic incident unfolded in Broward County, resulting in the deaths of a 38-year-old woman, Sara Ashley Gama, and her 2-year-old son, Ethan Aponte. The man believed to be responsible, Jean Carlos Aponte, has been arrested and charged with their murders. Aponte was hospitalized for a drug overdose following the discovery of his wife and son’s bodies in their Plantation home.
Authorities revealed that Aponte allegedly stabbed his son four times and his wife 28 times, with both victims showing defensive wounds on their hands. Ethan’s cause of death was attributed to sharp force injury and drowning, while Sara’s cause of death was determined to be sharp force injury.
