FORT WORTH, TX – A shocking crime has rocked a Fort Worth community after a young man allegedly killed his mother, claiming he was performing an exorcism. The suspect, Alexander Valdez, 23, was arrested following the discovery of the bodies of his mother, Teresita Say Son, 58, and a dog in their home.
The unsettling discovery was made last Friday at approximately 1:30 a.m. when officers responded to a call and encountered Valdez, who was reportedly covered in blood and holding a Bible. Valdez allegedly confessed to the police that he was conducting an exorcism and used witchcraft in the killing, suggesting that someone had directed him to commit the act.
The investigation was spurred by a disturbing image Valdez allegedly sent via Snapchat to a group of people. One recipient, alarmed by the photo, contacted the police, leading to Valdez’s swift arrest. The police have commended the individual for their prompt action in notifying authorities.
Neighbor Dana Adderley, who resides nearby, described the scene as she awoke to the commotion on her street. “The street was full of police cars,” she said, adding that she was stunned to learn the details of the crime. Adderley did not know the victims but expressed concern over the nature of the crime, particularly the mention of exorcism.
During the investigation, detectives found a bloodied, broken jewelry box in the room where Say Son’s body was discovered. This evidence adds another layer to the gruesome case, leaving investigators to delve deeper into the suspect’s mental state and motivations.
Valdez remains in custody at the Tarrant County Jail on murder charges as the investigation continues. The case has left the neighborhood on edge, with residents expressing unease over the violent incident. Despite the fear, the community is rallying to support the family affected by the tragedy, hoping for healing and peace.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are determined to uncover the full story behind this shocking crime, while the community seeks to regain a sense of normalcy and security.
