Jefferson County, Alabama – A tragic incident occurred earlier this month in Mulga, resulting in the death of a woman. Lakechia Bryant, 46, was found unresponsive at her residence on 2nd Avenue, where she had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check call and discovered Bryant’s lifeless body, indicating that she had been a victim of domestic violence.

Following the grim discovery, law enforcement officials initiated a search for the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Antonius Bonner. A manhunt ensued, leading to a confrontation in Graysville, where Bonner engaged in a shootout with Adamsville Police Department officers.
