The footage, released by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability, captures the tense moments leading up to the shooting of 58-year-old Timothy Glaze.
Police were dispatched to the Albany Terrace Apartments in response to a reported domestic disturbance involving a man armed with a knife. The incident occurred in the early hours of January 3, when officers arrived at the sixth-floor unit to find a woman allegedly being attacked.
Upon arrival, the officers encountered Glaze wielding a knife in the apartment doorway. Despite orders to drop the weapon, Glaze advanced towards the officers, prompting them to open fire. The video, while paused before shots are fired, captures the sound of gunfire that ensued.
