Kansas City Police Investigate Mysterious Deaths of Three Chiefs Fans Found Frozen Outside a Friend’s Home

KANSAS CITY, MO – The attorney for a Missouri man questioned by police after the bodies of his three friends were found frozen to death outside his home insists that his client had nothing to do with their deaths. The bodies of Ricky Johnson, 38, David Harrington, 37, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, were discovered outside the man’s house in a Kansas City suburb on Jan. 9.

The homeowner, a 38-year-old scientist who rents the home and works remotely for a New York hospital, claimed that he had no knowledge that his friends remained in his backyard or required medical attention. According to his lawyer, the last time the homeowner saw his friends was when they left his house before he went to bed.

When the fiancé of one of the men stopped by the home to check on him, she found a body on the back porch and immediately alerted the authorities. Police, responding to the call, then located the two other deceased men in the backyard. The low temperature on the day of their deaths was 29 degrees, and it remained below freezing over the next two days.

While there is no suspicion of foul play in the deaths, officials from multiple agencies are working to determine the cause of their deaths. Autopsies and toxicology tests were conducted on all three men, with the results still pending at the time of the report.

The homeowner’s attorney claimed that his client did not receive calls or text messages from the victims’ family or friends after they left his home. Additionally, two of the victims’ cars were parked on the street, but the homeowner did not notice them as he sleeps with earbuds and a loud fan. He also expressed his client’s eagerness to find out what caused their deaths, emphasizing that he is unaware of how his friends died and is anxiously awaiting the investigation’s results.

As of the report, no arrests had been made, and no charges had been filed in connection with the deaths. Despite the ongoing investigation, the homeowner has not been arrested or charged with a crime.
