Investigation Underway into Tragic Murder/Suicide at Bossier City Scenic Overlook

BOSSIER CITY, LOUISIANA – The Bossier City Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that unfolded near the Red River National Wildlife Refuge trail on Wednesday evening, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The authorities were alerted to the scene after a 911 hang-up call was received around 9:20 p.m.

Upon their arrival at Scenic Overlook No. 1 in Bossier City, officers discovered a man and a woman inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds to their heads. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health, where he succumbed to his injuries.
