Investigation Underway After Three Found Dead in Richmond Home

Richmond, Kentucky – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the deaths of three individuals at a residence in Richmond. The incident, which occurred on Elmwood Drive, has led to a thorough investigation by local authorities.

Deputies were called to the residence to assist the Madison County EMS in the early hours of Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Upon their arrival, Sherry Hammerle, 47, and Evonne Hammerle, 39, were rushed to Baptist Health Richmond, where they were later pronounced dead. The third individual, Ben Masters, was also found deceased at the same location.

Chief Deputy Tony Terry expressed that the circumstances surrounding three deaths in the same residence simultaneously were unusual, prompting an in-depth inquiry by the Sheriff’s Office.
