Authorities have identified the victims as 33-year-old Sergio Rios Jr. and his 19-year-old brother Ricardo Rios. The brothers were sitting inside a vehicle on Browning Boulevard when an unknown assailant approached them and opened fire, resulting in one brother dying at the scene and the other succumbing to his injuries at the hospital.

According to LAPD Capt. Michael Lorenz, the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence.
