24-Year-Old Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing in East London

London, England – A man in Dagenham, East London, now faces murder charges following the death of a 23-year-old man from stab wounds. Frankie Burletson, a 24-year-old resident of Dagenham, has been accused of killing Haseeb Bhatti, 23, on Flamstead Road during an incident that occurred on April 20.

Authorities received a call at 1:30 am reporting a 50-year-old man with stab wounds in Rothwell Gardens. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the unnamed 50-year-old were not life-threatening, and he has since been released from the hospital. Police officers, who were initially responding to this report, discovered Mr. Bhatti’s injuries in nearby Flamstead Road. Tragically, Mr. Bhatti succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Burletson was taken into custody on Wednesday and has been charged with the murder of Mr. Bhatti, along with causing grievous bodily harm to the 50-year-old individual. He made his appearance at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning and has been detained until his appearance at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
