11-Year-Old Paulding County Boy Shot and Killed Inside His Home: Family Announces Funeral Plans

Zander Whatley of Douglasville was a fifth-grade student at Hal Hutchens Elementary School and was known for his involvement in various school activities as well as his passion for sports.

Described as a proud member of the Student Council and an avid athlete who participated in soccer, baseball, and football, Whatley’s family shared that he also had a deep love for singing, TikTok, school, his family, and friends. In honor of his memory, a balloon release event will take place at Rockmart High School, with a public viewing scheduled before the ceremony.
