SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. – The community is grieving the tragic loss of a 10-year-old boy who was fatally shot over the weekend. Keith, a beloved son and friend, was the victim of a senseless act of violence that has left his loved ones devastated.
The heartbreaking incident took place outside the family’s apartment on Greenholme Drive, where a memorial now stands adorned with candles, balloons, and photos in honor of Keith. His mother, Brittani Frierson, is still in shock, struggling to come to terms with the fact that her son is no longer with her.
Keith’s untimely death was the result of a shooting involving another 10-year-old boy who obtained a gun from his father’s vehicle. Both the boy and his father have been arrested by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. According to Frierson, the tragedy unfolded after the other child, whom Keith considered a friend, lost a bike race and resorted to violence.
The family is seeking justice for Keith, holding the shooter’s father responsible for the devastating loss of both young boys. As the community gathers to pay tribute to Keith’s life and legacy, they remember him as an active and gentle soul, who enjoyed playing football for the Junior Foothill Mustangs.
Despite the outpouring of love and support from the community, the pain of losing Keith remains deeply felt by his family. As they grapple with the unimaginable loss, they are determined to honor his memory and work towards ensuring that justice is served for their beloved son.
