Tragic Murder-Suicide in Palm Harbor Home Leaves Two Dead

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – A tragic incident unfolded in a Palm Harbor home on Tuesday morning, as authorities discovered two individuals shot to death. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is currently treating the case as a murder-suicide.

Deputies rushed to the residence on Moreno Drive following a distress call at around 8:30 a.m. The victims were identified as Stacey McLean, 52, and Darryl Serraj, 26. McLean was found deceased in a bedroom, while Serraj was discovered in a separate bedroom with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to detectives, Serraj was previously in a romantic relationship with McLean’s daughter for approximately five years, but the relationship had recently come to an end. The authorities revealed that Serraj allegedly broke into the home, committed the murder, and then took his own life.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death, as per the sheriff’s office. No further details have been provided at this time.
