Luton, England – A 19-year-old from Luton pleaded guilty to murdering his mother and two siblings and disclosed chilling plans for further violence with intentions to target a local school. Nicholas Prosper entered the guilty pleas at Luton Crown Court, where details of his grim acts and thwarted plans emerged in a case that has shaken the local community.
On the morning of September 13, 2024, police discovered the bodies of 48-year-old Juliana Falcon and her children, 13-year-old Giselle Prosper and 16-year-old Kyle Prosper, in their flat in the Leabank area. The subsequent investigation revealed a harrowing plot: Nicholas Prosper possessed a loaded shotgun and more than 30 cartridges, discovered hidden near the residence.
Prosper, who appeared in court dressed somberly in a black T-shirt and dark trousers, faced additional charges beyond the triple murder. He also admitted to purchasing and possessing a shotgun without the appropriate certification and possessing a knife in a public area. His arrest by the Bedfordshire Police occurred shortly after the murders, preventing what could have escalated into a devastating school shooting.
Chris Derrick, a Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor with the Crown Prosecution Service, elaborated on the case’s gravity. “This was a calculated act of violence, where Prosper used an illegally obtained shotgun with intentions to kill his nearest family members,” Derrick said.
