Tragedy Strikes as 2 Killed in Angleton Shooting, Suspect in Custody

ANGLETON, Texas – Two people were tragically killed in a shooting incident in Angleton, Texas, on Monday morning. The victims, 37-year-old Devin Murrell and 66-year-old Darla Murrell, were airlifted to a Houston hospital for urgent care but later succumbed to their injuries.

The shooting took place in the 900 block of South Velasco Street at around 8:20 a.m. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the victims and learned that the suspect, 35-year-old Bradley Jones, had fled.

Jones was later located and arrested without incident at County Beach. He is now in custody at the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office facing two counts of murder.
