Tragedy in Glenelg: Howard County Students Killed in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Baltimore, Maryland – A tragic incident occurred in Glenelg on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of two Howard County students in an apparent murder-suicide. The police discovered a man and two teenagers with gunshot wounds in the 14000 block of Triadelphia Road.

It is believed that Christopher Zanski, 42, fatally shot his two children before taking his own life. All three individuals resided in the same residence, according to law enforcement officials. The community was shocked and deeply saddened by the news, with neighbor Keith White expressing disbelief at the disturbing nature of the incident.

The victims, identified as 17-year-old Braden Zanski and 15-year-old Hailey Zanski, were both students at Glenelg High School. Additionally, Braden Zanski was enrolled in the Automotive Technology Academy at the Howard County Public School System Applications and Research Laboratory.

Principal Shawn Hastings-Hauf of Glenelg High School stated his shock and grief over the tragic event, emphasizing the provision of support for affected staff, students, and families.
