Territorial supremacy dispute leads to brutal knife attack in Bhopal’s Ashoka Garden

Bhopal, India – In a shocking incident in the Aishbagh area, two known criminals offered a lift to another criminal and then viciously attacked him with knives in Ashoka Garden. The altercation stemmed from a dispute over territory between the attackers and the victim. Authorities reported that Kallu Bhannat, a 28-year-old resident of Bajaria, who had recently been released from jail, was targeted by the accused Amir and Sameer, who are also listed criminals in the region.

According to the investigation officer, ASI Sanjay Sisodia, the attack occurred late at night near Prabhat Square when Amir and Sameer, traveling in an auto-rickshaw, offered Kallu a ride. However, once on the move, the situation quickly escalated, leading to the violent assault. Despite trying to evade the attack, Kallu sustained injuries to his neck and face from the knives wielded by the assailants. Following the incident, the attackers fled the scene, leaving Kallu bleeding and in need of medical attention.

Responding to the assault, Kallu promptly reported the incident to the Ashoka Garden police station, prompting the authorities to file a case of attempted murder against the perpetrators. The incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing issue of criminal activity and territorial disputes within the area, raising concerns about public safety and law enforcement’s ability to address such conflicts effectively.
