Stabbing Spree at New York City High School Leaves Two Students Injured and School on Lockdown

QUEENS VILLAGE, N.Y. – Two 17-year-old high school students were stabbed inside Martin Van Buren High School on Hillside Avenue in Queens Village, NYPD confirmed.

The students were attacked in a stairwell around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. One student was stabbed in the stomach, while the other was stabbed in the shoulder. Both were taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center and reported to be in stable condition.

One person was taken into custody in connection with the attack, but no charges were immediately filed.

Video obtained by Fox News Digital showed a fight involving multiple students inside the high school stairwell for over a minute. The video captured one student hurling himself at another, triggering a violent brawl.

Following the attack, the school was placed on lockdown, with students recalling the terrifying moments. One student mentioned that everyone was escorted into the library, and they later learned about the lockdown after hearing police cars.

Another student mentioned being locked out of the school and witnessing everyone huddled in a corner while being informed about the stabbing.

The incident left the school community in shock, underscoring the need for additional security measures and support to prevent such events from happening again.
