Robbing Suspect Wanted for Capital Murder of Elderly Woman in Mississippi Accused of Robbing Subway

WILKINSON CO., Miss. – Authorities in Mississippi are on the lookout for a suspect wanted for capital murder after allegedly robbing a Subway in Wilkinson County. The suspect, Sammy Patrick, is also accused of shooting and setting an elderly woman on fire in Forest. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office has identified Patrick as the suspect in these heinous crimes, which took place on Old Jackson Road over the weekend.

According to reports from the Woodville Police Chief Lemuel Rutledge, the armed robbery at the Subway in Woodville occurred on Monday afternoon. Patrick was then spotted getting gas at a Shell gas station with a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The stolen vehicle is described as a dark-colored Ford Ranger with a disabled tag number DBW5119.

Authorities are actively searching for Patrick, who was last seen traveling north on Highway 61 towards Natchez. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Louisiana State Police, are involved in the search for the suspect.
