Police Search for Suspects in Violent Assault at Edmonton LRT Station

EDMONTON, Alberta – Authorities in Edmonton, Alberta are currently on the lookout for several individuals involved in a violent attack at an LRT station last month. The incident, which occurred on February 24th at Churchill Station, left a 64-year-old man with serious injuries, but thankfully non-life threatening.

The victim, who was waiting for a train on the platform at 5:30 a.m., was approached by a man resulting in a verbal altercation before being physically assaulted and robbed. According to reports, five other individuals joined in on the attack before fleeing the scene. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.

While two suspects have been apprehended, a warrant has been issued for a third, with police still working to identify the remaining three individuals involved. In efforts to aid in their identification, authorities released a photo on Wednesday showcasing the three unknown assailants.

Descriptions provided include details on the appearances of the suspects involved. Notably, warrants have been issued for Markus Lee Gladue, 21, for aggravated assault, weapon possession, and robbery. In addition, 28-year-old Brady Rodney Descroches-Smith faces charges of aggravated assault and robbery, with previous outstanding warrants for first-degree murder. Another suspect, Travis Damian Houle, 35, has been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, and non-compliance with a court order.
