Philadelphia Boy’s Body Still Missing After Mother and Boyfriend Charged in Murder of 4-Year-Old

Philadelphia, PA – A young boy’s body is still missing after his mother and her boyfriend were charged in connection with his murder.

Dominique Bailey, 28, faces charges of murder, endangering the welfare of a child, false reports, abuse of corpse, and other related offenses. Her boyfriend, Kevin Spencer, 30, is charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, false reports, tampering with evidence, abuse of corpse, and other related offenses.

The investigation began on December 30, 2023, after 4-year-old Damari Carter was reported missing in West Philadelphia. The boy’s mother, Dominique Bailey, initially told family members that her son had been involved in a car accident. However, investigators found no evidence to support her claim.

On January 4, Bailey was brought in for questioning, where she ultimately confessed to her involvement in her son’s death. Police also arrested Spencer at a home on the 3800 block of Reno Street on the same day.

Despite the charges against Bailey and Spencer, the child’s body has not yet been found. Meanwhile, the boy’s father, Darryle Carter, has expressed his distress over the situation. He revealed that he had been unable to reach his son since his birthday on November 25, 2023, and also stated that he had never met Spencer.

As authorities continue their search for the boy’s body, the family remains on edge, fearing that Damari may have been the victim of abuse. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Damari Carter’s body is urged to contact Philadelphia police.

The family’s ordeal is ongoing as authorities work tirelessly to find answers in this tragic case.
