Orange County Woman Injured in Apartment Explosion Passes Away, Family Seeks Answers

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Tragedy struck the Woodhill Apartments in Orange County when Mikeanesha Moore, a resident of the apartment complex, was critically injured in a possible gas explosion that occurred on March 1. Unfortunately, Moore passed away on Saturday, as confirmed by her family.

Moore, along with her husband Raven Fondia and their three children, had moved to Florida two years ago in search of a fresh start. The family had settled in the Woodhill Apartments after spending some time in Altamonte Springs. Following the devastating explosion, Moore’s family is now seeking answers regarding the circumstances that led to the tragic event.

According to Fondia, the explosion occurred shortly after Moore had returned home, while he was at work. He described the scene at the hospital as severe, expressing deep concern for his mental well-being in the aftermath of the incident. On previous occasions, residents of the Woodhill Apartments had reported gas-related issues, prompting questions about the maintenance and safety protocols of the complex.

Orange County Fire Rescue acknowledged that there had been multiple reports of gas odors at the Woodhill Apartments in the past. While investigations into the cause of the explosion are ongoing, Fondia emphasized the need for accountability, stressing that his wife was not at fault for the tragic incident.

In response to the family’s financial burden, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with expenses. Those interested in supporting the family can find more information on the fundraising page. As the community mourns the loss of Mikeanesha Moore, questions remain about the safety of the Woodhill Apartments and the events leading up to the fatal explosion.
