NY GOP Blames “Disastrous” Democrat Policies for 2nd Violent Migrant Attack

New York GOP lawmakers are expressing grave concern after a second violent migrant attack occurred in just two weeks, referring to it as a crisis of “epic proportions.”

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Rep. Marcus Molinaro, R-N.Y., pointed the finger at President Biden and Governor Hochul’s executive actions for causing this crisis. He emphasized the growing terrorization of innocent people by criminals and labeled it a humanitarian crisis.

Fellow New York Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney also weighed in on the recent surge in violent crimes by migrants, placing the blame on Democratic leadership for supporting open border policies.

Molinaro, Tenney, Rep. Nick Langworthy, and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis echoed similar sentiments, blaming New York City’s sanctuary city status and the state’s sanctuary state status for creating the current mess.

The representatives urged Gov. Kathy Hochul to take swift action to address the rising threat to public safety and the adverse effects felt across New York.

The escalating situation has sparked backlash from the GOP lawmakers, who indicated that the recent surge in violent crimes is the result of Democratic policies at multiple levels, including city, state, and federal.

The recent violence, including assaults on police officers and a shooting incident in Times Square, underscores the mounting challenge faced by law enforcement in addressing crimes perpetrated by migrants. The ongoing situation has prompted calls for urgent action and revisions to existing policies.

The finger-pointing at the federal, state, and local levels underscores the complexity of addressing the issue, with GOP lawmakers highlighting the need for comprehensive measures to tackle the root causes of the problem.

While the White House, Gov. Hochul, and Mayor Adams did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment, the situation continues to unfold against the backdrop of broader debates about immigration policies and their impact on public safety.
