Neighbor in Lents Neighborhood Shocked by Accusations of Murder Against Suspect

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Police Department is actively searching for a murder suspect who is considered armed and dangerous in the Lents Neighborhood. A neighbor expresses shock at the allegations that the woman next door killed her husband.

Analiesa Golde, 55, has been accused of second-degree murder in the shooting death of her 37-year-old husband, Phillip E. Pierce. The discovery of Pierce’s gunshot wound during a welfare check last Friday has left the neighborhood reeling.

Neighbor Judy Ballew, who lives next door to the couple, told reporters, “It’s so heartbreaking. I just hope that’s not really what happened.” Strangely, Ballew said “everything seemed fine” the last time she saw them, just a couple of days before the incident. “Nothing wrong at all,” she added.

The discovery of Pierce’s body inside his home on Southeast Suncrest Drive was made after the police were called for a wellness check on January 26. Their home was locked, and police had to force their way inside to find Pierce shot to death.

Ballew expressed disbelief at the incident, describing the couple as “super sweet people.” She recounted the chaotic scene surrounding the discovery of Pierce’s body and the heavy police presence in the neighborhood.

Golde is believed to be driving a 2015 burnt orange Toyota 4Runner with an Oregon 501HSB license plate, and authorities have advised anyone who sees her to immediately call 911.

Ballew, still in shock, described her neighborhood as a fantastic place filled with good people and emphasized that nothing like this has ever happened in the few years she has lived there. Police are urging anyone with information about Pierce’s death to contact Detectives Calvin Goldring (503-823-0256) or Brad Clifton (503-823-0696) and reference case number 24-19762. No arrests have been made so far.
