Men Face Court for Torture, Kidnapping, and Assault on Woman in Brisbane – Two Others Wanted for Questioning

Brisbane, Queensland – Two men have been charged with kidnapping, torture, and other offenses, while two others are being sought for questioning in connection to a violent attack on a woman in Brisbane. According to authorities, the victim did not know her alleged attackers, and there is no indication that the incident was gang-related or a threat to the broader community.

The Queensland Police reported that a group of men abducted a 43-year-old woman from a residence in Doolandella and then assaulted her before transporting her to a property in Forest Lake. Queensland Police Acting Inspector Michael Hogan stated that a firearm was discharged into the vehicle during the attack, but fortunately, no one was injured by the gunshot.

Following a tip from a member of the public, police arrested four men at an address in Stafford Heights, with two being later released. The two remaining men, aged 18 and 20, were charged with kidnapping, extortion, torture, armed robbery, and other offenses. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged from the hospital.

Acting Inspector Hogan commented on the victim’s state, acknowledging the significant trauma she had experienced as a result of the events. Investigators have called upon two additional men to come forward for questioning regarding their purported involvement in the attack. At this time, there is no indication that the incident is gang-related, but police are continuing to investigate.

Crime scenes were established at multiple properties, and a vehicle was seized for forensic examination. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information or footage relevant to the case to come forward and assist with the investigation.
