MCKINNEY, Texas – A man from McKinney, Texas has been arrested and charged with capital murder after allegedly strangling his pregnant wife to death on Christmas Day. 33-year-old Nasib Ahsan is behind bars for the tragic incident.
According to court documents, the couple had a history of domestic violence, and they were not supposed to be in the same room together. The police were alerted to the situation when Ahsan’s uncle called to report that Ahsan had confessed to killing his wife.
When the police arrived for a welfare check, they found the lifeless body of Ahsan’s wife, Nawreen Tuli, in their McKinney apartment. Ahsan was cooperative with the authorities and was subsequently taken into custody at the scene without any further incident.
Further investigation revealed that Ahsan had called his uncle earlier in the day to admit that he had strangled Tuli after a heated argument. The police confirmed that Tuli’s injuries were consistent with strangulation.
Tuli’s niece, Tasneem Kabir, shared that her aunt had filed a protective order against Ahsan after he was previously arrested for assaulting her. However, despite these issues, Tuli wanted to give him a second chance for the sake of their unborn child. Unfortunately, this decision led to a tragic outcome.
Tuli was two months pregnant at the time of the November assault, as confirmed by police documents and later autopsy results. Ahsan has been charged with capital murder and is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
This devastating incident serves as a reminder of the pervasive issue of domestic violence and the importance of seeking help before it’s too late.
