Given how fragmented our society has become and how vitriolic our politics have gotten in the post-Obama era, it is reasonable to question how this tearing of our fabric will finally play out.
While Republicans are frequently called fascists and Nazis for opposing the progressive left’s Marxist-inspired agenda, the demonization of a political party continues online and on national television. This agenda aims to undermine American society by applying critical race theory and queer theory to it.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, tweeted on Monday evening that she was “attacked” while dining in a restaurant with her staff. MTG tweeted that she was assaulted in a restaurant tonight by a psychotic woman and yelled at by her adult son. She went on to say that they exhibited no regard for the restaurant, its employees, the other diners, or those like herself who just hold different political ideas.
She said, “They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control,” While she sat at her table with her staff, she did not even see these individuals until they transformed into demons. Humans used to appreciate people regardless of their differing opinions. But no longer. “Our country is gone.”
Understandably, given that Greene is an open Trump supporter, she would not receive much compassion from the intolerant left, whose remarks vary from “she should be ashamed of herself” and “I’m going to harm you physically, to comments about the State of The Union.
Several members took to Twitter to remind her about the incident. One Twitter user stated that Greene was the one who branded the president of the United States a liar in front of hundreds of people in the United States Senate House. You reap what you sow, as the saying goes.
Another Twitter user reminded her: “um, but you screamed at the president of the United States of America while he was giving a civil speech on national tv. Maybe they’re following your example?”
On the other side, Greene’s followers were quick to express their gratitude for the sacrifices she made in what he views as an endeavor to defend America.
One Twitter user stated, “Sounds about right.. these leftwingers are mentally ill and dangerous.”
Another one stated that someone with her political standing should have protection. Adding that nation could not afford to lose @mtgreenee.
