Manhunt underway for suspect in fatal shooting of girlfriend in Houston gas station

Houston, Texas – Authorities are on the lookout for a man involved in a tragic incident where he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend at a gas station, leading to a subsequent gunfight with a deputy constable. The deputy constable sustained minor injuries during the confrontation and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. The incident unfolded early Tuesday morning at a gas station near MacGregor and Almeda.

According to reports, a Houston Fire Department ambulance crew witnessed a domestic disturbance between the suspect and the woman while they were fueling up at the gas station. The situation escalated, with the suspect ultimately shooting the woman approximately nine times in the store’s driveway. Police state that the suspect engaged in a pursuit with the woman before the fatal shooting.

Following the shooting, the suspect attempted to flee the scene but was engaged by the deputy constable. A shootout ensued, leading to the suspect driving away in the deputy’s vehicle. The suspect later returned to the scene, resulting in another exchange of gunfire with the deputy constable before fleeing in a black Chevy Camaro with Texas plate DTB4849.

Tragically, the wounded woman was rendered aid by the HFD ambulance crew and transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities are actively pursuing the suspect, considered armed and dangerous, and seeking the public’s assistance in locating him. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed at this time.
