Local authorities identified the victim as Christian Alvarado of Pomona, who was discovered by police critically injured and lying on the sidewalk after his vehicle collided with a parked car. Despite immediate medical attention and a swift transfer to Nyack Hospital, Alvarado succumbed to his injuries.

It all happened so fast, with the speeding car crashing nearby. It was terrifying seeing someone’s life ending right before your eyes,” Ortiz explained.
