Man Seeks Over $100,000 After Suffering “S**tty” Experience at Dunkin’ Donuts

WINTER PARK, FLORIDA – A customer in Winter Park, Florida, is suing Dunkin’ Donuts after a traumatic experience at one of the franchise’s locations. The customer, Paul Kerouac, is seeking more than $100,000 in damages following an incident in which a toilet at the establishment exploded, leaving him covered in urine and feces.

The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in state court in Orlando, alleges that the incident took place two years ago and has resulted in severe long-term injuries for Kerouac. According to the complaint, the explosion of the toilet left him in need of mental health care and counseling. The incident has caused him to suffer bodily injury, psychological damages, and significant emotional injury, mental anguish, and loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life.

An employee at the Dunkin’ Donuts location informed Kerouac that they were aware of previous incidents with the toilet. This revelation has led Kerouac to seek significant compensation from the franchise. This incident is not the first time a customer has suffered harm at a Dunkin’ Donuts location, as the franchise has paid out to customers in the past due to similar incidents.

Meanwhile, the lawsuit also alleges that another customer at a different Dunkin’ Donuts location suffered burns due to a similar incident involving a spilled hot beverage. The spill allegedly caused burns on the woman’s thighs, groin, and abdomen, resulting in ongoing struggle with day-to-day life and the need for constant application of creams and ointments.

UNILAD reached out to Dunkin’ Donuts for comment on the matter. The franchise has yet to respond to the allegations made by the affected customers.
