Man in Shorts Fatally Shoots DJ at Bar After Being Denied Alcohol

Patna, India: A tragic incident unfolded late last night in Ranchi, Jharkhand, as a man fatally shot a DJ at a bar after being denied alcohol by the establishment’s staff. The CCTV footage revealed the shooter entering the Extreme Bar wearing only shorts, with his face concealed by a t-shirt.

According to authorities, the accused, accompanied by four others, approached the bar around 1 am when it was already closed, and demanded to be served alcohol. When their request was denied, a dispute erupted between them and the bar staff, culminating in the shooter brandishing a rifle and firing at the DJ from close range, killing him instantly.

Ranchi’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Sinha, stated that the accused fled the scene following the shooting, while the injured DJ was rushed to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), where he was pronounced dead. The local police, including the Deputy Superintendent and station in-charge, visited the bar the next morning to investigate the crime.

Authorities are currently reviewing the CCTV footage in hopes of identifying the shooter and his associates. Additionally, the bar employees are being interviewed to gather more information about the tragic incident and shed light on the events leading up to the fatal shooting.
