Man Fatally Shot in South Carolina, Suspect Wanted on Murder Charge

GREENWOOD, South Carolina – A tragic incident in Greenwood has left one man dead and another still at large. The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Tarrence Eugene Robinson, a 36-year-old resident who was fatally shot in the head.

Authorities are now on the lookout for 40-year-old Tony Matthew Landron, who is wanted on a murder charge and considered “armed and dangerous” by the Greenwood Police Department. In addition to the murder charge, Landron is also facing allegations of possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

It was revealed that Landron and the victim, Robinson, were acquainted with each other before the shooting incident took place. However, the motive behind the tragic event remains unknown as police continue their investigation.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at 125 Oakhill Avenue, where officers responded to find Robinson with gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Robinson succumbed to his injuries at around 2:30 p.m. that same day, as confirmed by the coroner’s office.

No additional injuries were reported in connection with the shooting. Both the police department and the coroner’s office are actively investigating the case, with an autopsy scheduled for the following week to gather further information.
