Man Arrested in Shreveport for Serious Domestic Abuse Violation

Shreveport, Louisiana – A man has been arrested by the Shreveport Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit in connection with a violent domestic incident that occurred in 2023. Deangelo Ryed was apprehended on March 28, 2024, on charges of domestic abuse battery resulting in serious injuries to the victim.

According to reports, Ryed allegedly assaulted a female victim by striking her multiple times in the face and using a chair to inflict further harm by hitting her over the head. The victim sustained severe injuries to her left eye and required multiple stitches as a result of the attack. Ryed was located and arrested by members of the Shreveport Police Domestic Violence Unit in the 700 block of Cotton Street.
